Welcome to Before I Go

A warm welcome from Before I Go. Sometimes the first step can be the hardest, but you’re here and that’s what matters.

Why am I here and how can I support you?
Do any of these words come to mind? Overwhelmed, scared, lonely, tired, anticipatory grief, unexpected changes, challenges, and the list goes on.

I’ve experienced all these feelings as a Caregiver for my father for 15+ years until he passed while simultaneously working a full-time job and trying to balance everyday living. I’ve grieved the unexpected loss of my mother and brother and watched close friends fight their diagnosis until the end. I’ve received the call to hear of a friend I thought would be here for years is now gone.

During these years and as you’ll see in my Mission Statement, I realized there is such a void to be filled in the deathcare industry and with every conversation and experience each one is so uniquely different. We’re all so special in our own way and deserve non-judgmental compassion and care as we go along this journey.

I’m here to be by your side to create a comprehensive plan and discuss what will be best for you and/or your loved one, in addition to advocating for their wishes. I’m a Certified Death Doula through Going with Grace, a Reiki Practioner, and have provided Palliative Arts through Reiki, Music in Caregiving, and Guided Meditation. In volunteering with Hospice, I’ve been there in the last moments and for transition visits. I also understand from my personal experience how important Respite for Caregivers can be and include it in my offerings.

Before I Go is my passion and calling and is dedicated in loving memory and honor of my mother, brother, and father. May they rest in love.
